2010 VIRTUS Overview for Parents

USCCB's "Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People"
Designed to provide a comprehensive approach to preventing and managing child sexual abuse: reporting allegation; response and care for victims, their families and affected communities; establishment of ethical and behavioral standards for ministry and to provide a safe environment for children and young people.

VIRTUS training programs
All VIRTUS training programs, including the PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN programs, seek to create a child-safe environment by raising the awareness and educating adults (clergy, religious, teachers, volunteers & parents) to the dangers of sexual abuse, the warning signs of abuse and the ways to prevent abuse. The site also includes "Practical Advise for Parents on how to Prevent Sexual Abuse" and other child safety articles.
